Studying with a Student (previously Tier 4) Visa
As a student studying with a Student visa, the University of Edinburgh is the sponsor of your UK visa. The University has a number of legal responsibilities with which it must comply in order to sponsor you, and you are required to comply with the conditions of your visa. This includes attending classes and submitting work, and informing us as soon as possible of any absences or changes you wish to make to your programme.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you familiarise yourself with the advice on Tier 4 Visa Requirements and that you comply with the conditions of your visa. Find out about your Tier 4 Rights, Responsibilities and Restrictions
If you have questions about the conditions of your visa or the impact of changes to your studies on your visa, you must seek advice from the International Office Immigration Team. Contact the International Office Immigration Team.
You should ensure that you familiarise yourself with the School’s Attendance and Engagement Monitoring Statement and that you report any absences promptly. View the School’s Attendance and Engagement Monitoring Statement.
