Full details on the event are below:
Law Students’ Council, Graduate Law Society and Edinburgh Law School invite you to a semester 1 check-in event, being held on Thursday 05 November from 2-3pm digitally through Collaborate. We want to find out more about what’s been going well for you, and what could be improved.
Please join our student representatives along with Olivia Hayes (UG Office) , and Lindsay Jack (Director of Student Experience) for this informal check-in to see how your semester is going so far. We will also be joined by the Dean of the Law School, Professor Martin Hogg.
What is this session for?
- We are interested in finding out more about what’s been going well for you, and what could be improved.
- We encourage you to consider general points or themes you’d like to raise, we will not be able to answer queries which are personal in nature and instead we’d encourage you to email the Undergraduate Office or your Personal Tutor
- We are not looking for course-specific questions or feedback and instead encourage you to direct these to your Year Representative or Class Liaison. You will also have another opportunity to submit course-specific feedback towards the end of the semester.
- Unfortunately we will be unable to answer questions on fees, finance or accommodation. Please contact EdHelp if you need any assistance with these matters.
The format will be as follows:
- Submit any questions or feedback ahead of the event to your representatives above by emailing Law Students’ Council lsc@ed.ac.uk or Graduate Law Society graduatelawsocietyuoe@outlook.com or anonymously here www.slido.com event code #89504;
- If you can, attend the digital session on 05 November where questions and queries will be answered and addressed;
- You can also ask questions on the day, either anonymously through Slido, in the chat function in Collaborate or by raising your hand and asking.
- We will spend the first half of the session addressing previously submitted questions, and turn to your live questions for the latter half of the session. We will do our best to answer your queries during the live session, though may not be able to answer all of these. We will post a summary of points raised, the responses to these points as well as a response to unanswered queries on Law UG Community following the live session.
Aside from any questions, we would like to hear your thoughts around one thing that’s been going well for you this semester, and one thing which could be improved. We hope to see you at the event on 05 November!
