Student Advisor Roles

Your Student Adviser is your contact throughout your time at the University of Edinburgh. They provide guidance and support to you at key points in your study journey, or with changes to your personal circumstances.

Your Student Adviser will get in touch with you before the academic year begins to introduce themselves. They will continue to be in touch at key points throughout the year, and you can also contact them any time you need support.

You can contact them via the law.sso@ed.ac.uk inbox to ask a question or arrange a meeting. Alternatively, you can drop by the Student Support Office in person between the hours of 10:00-16:00.

The easiest way to find us is to head to the main entrance of the Law School at Old College (where the big spiral staircase and lift are).

When facing the reception desk, directly behind you is a long corridor- follow it to the end and make your way through the glass door to your left.

Alternatively, just follow the signs to G.163- this is the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Office, and the Student Support Office and private meeting rooms are located here too.
