Prescribe Culture – mental health and wellbeing support

Over Christmas and New Year the immediate offer is a varied supply of heritage and culture based online, self-directed resources but registration is open for two online programmes in January (links below) and the Take 30 Together Virtual will kick off again from Wednesday 12 January and we are experimenting with alternate lunchtime / evening sessions in the hope of making the opportunity to ‘escape, explore and e-socialise with a world of heritage’ accessible to a more diverse membership.

For any staff or students who may care for someone with dementia, or related condition, we have now embedded the ‘Unlock & Revive’ programme. This is online heritage-based social prescribing for those living with dementia and other related conditions,  in a cycle of 4 programmes (10 weeks each) per year, delivered on Zoom on Wednesday mornings, 11.30am-12.10pm.

This wellbeing support programme ran, for the first time, in January 2020 and attracted a small, international group of individuals from all walks of life from a vet student, to an Occupational Therapist in New York to a full-time mum in India.
