National Oxford Uehiro Prize in Practical Ethics – Event Announcement

We are delighted to announce that students from all UK universities can now take part in the Oxford Uehiro Prize in Practical Ethics essay competition. Entries from all graduate and undergraduate students (full and part-time) are welcomed, in the form of an essay of up to 2000 words on any topic relevant to practical ethics.

Whilst all students are encouraged to take part, this will be particularly relevant to those studying philosophy, medicine and biological sciences, law, AI and data sciences.

The winner from each category will receive a prize of £300, and the runner up £100. Revised versions of the two winning essays will be considered for publication in the Journal of Practical Ethics.

To enter, please submit essays by the end of Tuesday 15th February 2022 to rocci.wilkinson@philosophy.ox.ac.uk. Finalists will be notified on Tuesday 22nd February of selection. For more details about the Oxford Uehiro Prize in Practical Ethics see the competition webpage.
