Reflections: challenges of equality and diversity in the legal profession with Debora Kayembe, Rector of the University of Edinburgh
On Tuesday 5th October 1pm-2pm, the Edinburgh Foundation will hold its first ‘Reflections’ talk on the current challenges of equality and diversity in the legal profession. This event is virtual and will take place online via Zoom.
Debora Kayembe, Rector of the University of Edinburgh, will reflect on their career and work in human rights law and provide advice for both students who are aspiring lawyers, and for those in practice. Debora will also reflect on challenges that might be put to the legal profession to combat racism and inequality and promote diversity.
Debora will be joined by panellists from the Women in Law student society and the BlackED Movement. There will be a Q&A after the talk. Registration is free and required to attend this event.
