Summer Vacation at Clyde & Co

We run a number of vacation schemes across our Scottish Offices during the summer months in Edinburgh and Glasgow.  We recruit our Trainees solely from these schemes.  If successful during your time with us you will sit with an Associate who will act as your mentor, and will have the opportunity to shadow and support them on the work they are doing.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Attend meetings/negotiations
• Attend court hearings
• Draft documents
• Prepare legal and case research
• Attend networking events with our Trainees and other members of the firm

We view this time with us as a mini-traineeship, during which you will be set legal and non-legal tasks which you will be assessed on.  At completion you will have an exit interview at which time you will be given the opportunity to discuss these task and your experience with the Firm.  This forms our training contract recruitment process.

Our schemes are principally aimed at third year law students and those in the second year of the accelerated LLB, although we do consider applicants from those who have graduated and are at different stages of their career.  You can find out more information and find the application form which is currently live on our website here, with a closing date of January 3rd 2021, and interviews/assessment centres held virtually during Q1.
