Summer School on European Law 2021 at the University of Würzburg
Summer School on European Law
from 20th to 24th September 2021
The Law Faculty of Würzburg, Germany welcomes law students and professionals from all over the world.
Participants are invited to expand their knowledge of European Law. The first 50 applicants will be granted scholarships of 200 Euro after enrolment and participation. All enrolled participants will be awarded 2 ECTS points.
Due to Covid-19 the Summer School 2021 will take place online via Zoom.
The aim of the program is to gain insight into current developments in the law of both the EU and the Member States and to discuss new research questions.
The international group of participants will attend lectures and workshops on European Law which will be held in English.
Lectures will cover the following topics:
- Recent Developments in European Law
- Introduction to European Constitutional Law
- European Judicial System
- Protection of Fundamental Rights in the European Union
- Lacking Respect for the European Values (Art. 2 TEU)
- European Single Market
- European Competition Law
- European Company Law
- Intellectual Property Law
- European Data Protection Law
- Introduction to German Culture
Additional workshops will give participants the opportunity for intellectual exchange. They will also gain international communication skills by working in small group projects with students from other nations.
Workshops will cover the following topics:
- Procurement Law
- Private International Law
- Data Protection Law
- Intellectual Property Law
- International Criminal Law
Participants only have to pay the Semester Fee of 142,70 € for the enrolment at the University of Würzburg without any additional tuition fee.
