Career opportunities: the Ph.D. degree at the European University Institute

The aim of this event is to present professional opportunities in academia after the LLM, and in particular the fully-funded Ph.D. program at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. The event will feature the participation of Prof. Claire Kilpatrick, professor at the EUI law department and Dean of Graduate Studies, and Franca Feisel, Ph.D. researcher at the EUI and an alumna of the LLM program at Edinburgh University Law School. The speakers will present the Ph.D. program and research areas, the application process, the upcoming deadlines (Ph.D. applications are open until 31 January 2021 at the EUI), and they will answer students´ questions. Although the event focuses on the European University Institute, it will also address more general questions related to embarking on a Ph.D. project after the law degree and can thus offer good insights into postgraduate academic opportunities. All 4th-year Honours and LLM students are warmly invited to attend.
