Panel for Students Interested in Criminal Law

Reporting Sexual Violence

Join Girl Up Edinburgh for a panel discussion on Reporting Sexual Violence at University on Monday the 27th of January at 7pm in the MacLaren Stuart Room, Old College.

We are bringing together university management, Students Association representatives and academics working in this field to explain the current reporting frameworks in place at the University of Edinburgh and how they can be improved.

In the UK, an estimated 1 in 12 students will experience a form of sexual violence while at university and only 6% will report that violence to their institutions. This panel will consider why there is a lack of confidence in university reporting procedures and what improvements can be made to better support survivors and prevent incidences of sexual violence occurring in the first place.

This is a free event and everyone is welcome.
