Healthy volunteers needed for a brain imaging study (£20, reading texts on social media platforms)
Hello all,
We are inviting volunteers for an fMRI study:
This study, on healthy volunteers, is about how people perceive and understand information on social media. We will invite you to come to Edinburgh Imaging Facilities – QMRI at Little France, and you will perform a self-paced reading-based experiment during your brain scan, which will take up to an hour. You will receive £20 out of pocket expenses for participation in this study.
We are looking for volunteers who are:
– 18 – 45 years of age
– UK Citizen
– Native English speakers with no difficulty to read online text
– Right handedness
– Have no metal fragments in their eyes
– Have no hear pacemakers or surgery involving the insertion of metal clips
– Have no current psychiatric illness or medications relating to brain or cognitive function
– Are not pregnant
– Are not claustrophobic
