Calling all Grad LLB Students – The Scottish Bar Association of New York
The Scottish Bar Association of New York works to connect lawyers of Scottish descent in New York and gives support to Scottish legal professionals moving into the New York area.
I am writing to you on behalf of the Scottish Bar Association of New York, which is making its debut appearance at the Edinburgh University School of Law’s Careers Fair on September 25th. We are looking for two Student Ambassadors to volunteer for the day, and would highly appreciate the below message being circulated among the law school student body:
“The Scottish Bar Association of New York is the only association dedicated to students and graduates of Scottish law schools on the east coast of the United States. We have a diverse community of over 300 professionals, many of whom are available to offer insights and mentorship to those who are considering qualification to practice or pursue further study in the United States.
We are seeking two volunteer Student Ambassadors to represent our Association at the School of Law’s careers fair on September 25th. We will brief both Student Ambassadors on our background, what resources we offer to students at Scottish law schools, and what we are looking to build for the future.
In return for assisting us, each Student Ambassador will have an online spotlight article, outlining their background and career ambitions, distributed among our network. Please email a brief statement (no more than 150 words) outlining your background and career ambitions to: info@scotbarny.org
Please visit our website at www.scotbarny.org to access resources on applying and studying for the New York Bar exam, applying for J.D./LL.M. programs at U.S. law schools, and how to navigate the U.S. legal job market.”
